# Plan rendering with gimp


More and more I use bitmap-based applications such as the
[gimp](http://www.gimp.org) to create presentation plans... With a bit
of resolution ( > 200dpi) the printed quality is almost identical to a
CAD application, so why bother and deny yourself the pleasure and the
much more advanced capabilities...
